The Better Jobs Ontario program (formerly known as Second Career) is an application-based grant program funded by the Government of Ontario. It provides vocational skills training to unemployed individuals, covering up to $28,000 for tuition, living, and transportation costs. The goal of this program is to help unemployed individuals gain the skills needed to transition into high-skill, in-demand occupations. BJO Eligibility:

• Have been laid off or unemployed for six months or more
• Must be a Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen
• Training program must be 52 weeks or less in length 

Please note that an eligibility assessment must be completed prior to enrolling in Better Jobs Ontario.
