Housing. Opportunity. Mental Health. Empowerment (H.O.M.E)

The H.O.M.E. Program funded by United Way Greater Toronto is a mental health support initiative created to assist youth and young adults aged 15–29 who are experiencing, transitioning out of or at risk of homelessness.

While BMC does not provide housing, the H.O.M.E. Program offers intensive mental health counseling and support to youth currently in transitional or independent living arrangements or at risk of losing stable housing.  We aim to help youth overcome emotional and psychological barriers affecting their housing stability and overall well-being.

Services are delivered in-person and in the community, ensuring youth receive support in safe and accessible spaces.

This program provides:

  • Individual, trauma-informed counseling sessions
  • Crisis intervention and emotional stabilization
  • Continued mental health support during and after housing transitions
  • Guidance with life skills, employment, and education pathways

Each year, the H.O.M.E. Program supports over 100 youth in Peel Region, helping them stay housed, strengthen their mental wellness, and build a stable foundation for the future.
